YARN USED FOR SAMPLE
Brown Sheep's Lamb's Pride Worsted
85% wool - 15% mohair
3.5 ounces-(100 grams)  -  190 yards-(173 meters)

1 pull skein each
Main Color (aran used in sample)
Contrasting Color 2 (red used in sample)
Contrasting Color 3 (green used in sample)

For your stocking to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important. It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.

SUGGESTED NEEDLE SIZES
- Size 5-(3.75 mm) needles for tree
- Size 9-(5.5 mm) ten inch straight needles
- Size 9-(5.5 mm) double pointed needles; or size needles to obtain the correct gauge


NOTIONS
- Gauge ruler
- Yarn markers - number 10 crochet thread in a contrasting color is great for yarn markers—I added the link below
- Tapestry needle
- Ring markers

GAUGE

- 20 stitches and 26 rows = 4 inch-(10 cm)—on size 9(5.5 mm)
