TECHNIQUES USED IN THIS PATTERN
Links to videos for selected techniques are included
- Minimal yarn ends to hide

The fronts and back are cast-on as one piece, from right center front to left center front, and worked to the armholes. This eliminates the need to match side seam stripes and weaving in yarn ends at the side seams.

The center fronts and the collar are faced and the ends are knotted and tucked behind facing.
- Long tail cast-on
- K2, p2 ribbing
- Bind-off
- Stockinette stitch
- Two rows of Fair Isle knitting-two times on body and two times on each sleeve.
- Weaving stitches (sleeve bind-off) to rows (top few rows of armhole), each side of shoulder.
- Weaving rows to rows for the remainder of sleeve cap and sleeve seams
.

Regardless of actual body measurements, everyone prefers a different finished look. It is helpful to use the FINISHED GARMENT MEASUREMENTS, in the chart below, which refers to this specific garment only. It can help your choose the look you prefer.

For your cardigan to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important. It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.
