This short dolman sleeve pullover is very unusual. That is not a cable on the front; it is three stripes braided together. One long strip is stitched around the neck and becomes a rolled neckline as well as two parts of the braid. The braid can be left loose to flap in the wind or invisibly tacked to the sweater front. It can also be the exact length of the pullover or for a fashion statement it can be longer.

For your pullover to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important.

It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.

NEEDLES:

size 4 and size 8 needles; or size needles to obtain the correct gauge
size H crochet hook for optional crochet edge

OTHER NOTIONS:

gauge ruler
tapestry needle

GAUGE:

18 stitches and 27 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on size 8 needles

SKILL LEVEL:

	Projects with a variety of stitches, such as basic cables and lace, simple intarsia, double-pointed needles and knitting in the round needle techniques, mid-level shaping and finishing.
