The horizontally ribbed yoke is wider in the back than the front. When combined with a vertically ribbed body it is a very unusual cardigan. The sleeves are elbow length and cuffed.

For your cardigan to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important.

It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.

NEEDLES:

size 6 straight needles; or size needles to obtain the correct gauge
size 6 or smaller double-pointed or circular needle to temporarily hold stitches

OTHER NOTIONS:

gauge ruler
tapestry needle
11 buttons-or desired amount - 1/2 inch size

GAUGE:

22 stitches x 30 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on size 6 needles

SKILL LEVEL:

	Projects with a variety of stitches, such as basic cables and lace, simple intarsia, double-pointed needles and knitting in the round needle techniques, mid-level shaping and finishing.
