DESIGN DETAILS
- A choice of two weights, DK or Worsted
- A mixture of Fair Isle design and textured pattern stitches make this an out of the ordinary scarf
- An excellent way to perfect your Fair Isle technique on straight needle
- A terrific way to use some of your stash
- The scarf looks attractive in different color combinations. More or less colors can be used. It would be a completely different look using only 2 colors. A total of 7 balls would be required for a two color scarf; 4 of the dominant color and 3 of the second color.

PATTERN DETAILS - the easy to follow pattern includes:
- A comprehensive chart listing colors, A to L, used in the sample. Plus yardage-(
meters) for each color and room to list your color choices
- Fair Isle is traditionally worked in the round on a circular needle. Because the circumference of the scarf is 12.25 inches-(
31.1 cm) for DK weight yarn or 14.75 inches-(37.4 cm) for worsted weight yarn; a 16 inch-(40.5 cm) circular needle will be too long and a 12 inch-(30.5 cm) circular needle will be too uncomfortable. If you prefer, with a few adjustments for the pattern repeats, the scarf can be worked in the round, using a set of double pointed needles.
- All pattern stitches are easy to follow
- The Fair Isle designs are worked from easy to follow graphs
- This scarf is worked on straight needles and then folded lengthwise then woven along the long edge.
- Very little clean-up is required, because all the ends are secured and in the center of tube.
- A tracking sheet – included with pattern
- A link for substitute yarns
- Diagrams and full explanations for techniques, some with links to selected videos
