TECHNIQUES USED IN THIS PATTERN
Links to videos for selected techniques are included. I look for videos as close to possible as the instructions I have written. Sometimes they may be slightly different but still very helpful.

Approximately 50 inches-(127 cm) around without ruffle
Approximately 17.75 inches-(45 cm) long

YARN USED FOR SAMPLE
Berroco Yarn—NaturaLin
40% linen, 60% rayon
1.75 ounces-(50 grams)    —     115 yards-(105 meters) each skein
9 skeins
Approximately 1035 yards-(946.6 meters) are required

For your cover-up to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important. It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.


FOR A SUBSTITUTE YARN
- Berroco Yarn—NaturaLin yarn has been discontinued. A soft yarn with the same gauge as NaturaLin and with some drape will make a great substitute. The wrap will beautiful in alpaca dk or a cashmere dk or a soft blend with acrylic.


SUGGESTED NEEDLE SIZES
- Size 6-(4 mm) circular needle, 40 inches-(101.6 cm) long; for the ruffles or size needles to obtain the correct gauge
- Size 6-(4 mm) straight needles or circular needle 24 inch (60.9 cm)
- Six double pointed needles—size 6 or less to use in place of stitch holders
- Size 4-(3.5 mm) circular needle 16 inches-(40.5 cm) long for neckline

NOTIONS
- Gauge ruler
- Yarn markers - use a strand of thin cotton (number 10 crochet thread is great for yarn markers) in a contrasting color
- Tracking sheet – included with pattern
- Point protectors for the ends of double pointed needles
- Tapestry needle


GAUGE
- 24 stitches and 32 rows = 4 inches-(10 cm) in stockinette stitch on size 6 needles-(4 mm)
