A warm and comfortable, dropped shoulder, round neck, cabled pullover. Our sample was knit with 2 strands of alpaca worsted weight held together. The columns of large cables on a reverse stockinette stitch background give this pullover a very masculine look.

NOTE: the reason the sleeve length is shorter in larger sizes is: • the shoulder measurement is not that much larger between sizes • the sweater is wider proportionately than the shoulder measurement • the sweater drops down over the shoulder and further onto the arm • less sleeve length is needed to cover the arm which also is not that much longer between sizes

TWO STRANDS OF YARN ARE HELD TOGETHER

For your pullover to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important.

It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.

NEEDLES:

size 7 and size 10 straight needles; or size needle to obtain the correct gauge
cable needle
size 7 circular needle, 16 inches long

GAUGE:

WITH 2 STRANDS OF YARN HELD TOGETHER
16 stitches 22 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on size 10 needles

SKILL LEVEL:

	Projects with a variety of stitches, such as basic cables and lace, simple intarsia, double-pointed needles and knitting in the round needle techniques, mid-level shaping and finishing.
