MEASURE FOR A HORSE BLANKET
Whether you want a cooler, fly sheet or warm winter rug, you'll need to measure your horse for the correct size. It is very important to find a proper fitting blanket for your horse. Tight fitting blanket will rub shoulders and withers, causing irritation and "bald" spots. A blanket that is too loose will turn and shift, catch on latches and gates.
Here is how to measure your horse for a blanket.

horse
a cloth measuring tape
a friend to hold one end of measuring tape
Here's How:

Tie your horse safely.
Keeping the measuring tape even, Measure from the center of the chest (A) along the side of the barrel and belly to the point just before the tail (B). Be sure that the measuring tape stays parallel to the floor/ground.
This measurement will be the size for your blanket.
