The horizontally ribbed yoke is wider in the back than the front and is worked in one piece from cuff to cuff.
The lower portion of the cardigan is picked up along the yoke and knit to the bottom edge. The different directions of the rib give this cardigan a very unique look.

50% cotton - 30% silk - 20% nylon
50 grams - 135 yards each ball

This cardigan can be made with any yarn in the weight specified as long as the correct gauge can be obtained.

It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.

NEEDLES:

size 6 straight needles; or size needles to obtain the correct gauge
size G crochet hook

OTHER NOTIONS:

gauge ruler
tracking sheets - last two pages of pattern
tapestry needle
5 buttons - 1.25 inch size

GAUGE:

18 stitches x 30 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on size 6 needles

SKILL LEVEL:

	Projects with a variety of stitches, such as basic cables and lace, simple intarsia, double-pointed needles and knitting in the round needle techniques, mid-level shaping and finishing.
