YARN USED FOR SAMPLE:
Brown Sheep Company - Cotton Fine
80% Pima Cotton - 20% Merino Wool
1/2 pound cone (226 grams) - 1000 yards each cone

2 cones for all sizes
approximately 1250(1350, 1500, 1650,1800) yards required
(a small amount of the second cone was used for size small)

For your cardigan to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important.

It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.




NEEDLES:
size 3 and size 6 straight needles; or size needles to obtain the correct gauge
size 3 double-pointed needles for I-cords



OTHER NOTIONS:
gauge ruler
tapestry needle
6 buttons size 5/8 inch size



GAUGE:
23 stitches and 30 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on size 6 needles



SKILL LEVEL:
