BACK VIEW

This cardigan is elegant. The front and back yokes are knit side to side. The back is decreased by approximately one-third at the top before joining to the yoke creating the delicate shirring. Because of the shirring this cardigan should be knit in a soft light yarn.

size 5 straight needle; or size needles to obtain the correct gauge
size 5 circular needle; 29 inches long

22 stitches and 34 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on size 5 needles
