For your cardigan vest to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important.

It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.

NEEDLES:

size 6 and size 7; or size needles to obtain the correct gauge
size 6 or smaller double-pointed needles for ties - 2 needles
size 7 or smaller; 32 inch or 40 inch circular needle (used for pick up of neck only)

OTHER NOTIONS:

GAUGE:

18 stitches and 30 rows = 4 inches in garter stitch on size 7 needles
