This eye-catching cardigan, in soft mohair, is easier than it looks to knit. It is knit in stockinette stitch with a small amount of shaping at the lapels. The contrasting color lapel facings are knit separately and sewn to the fronts with a running stitch using the main color yarn. The sleeves are slightly belled.

For your cardigan to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important.

It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.

NEEDLES:

size 8 straight needles; or size needles to obtain the correct gauge

GAUGE:

20 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on size 8 needles
