The extraordinary wrap is worked in garter stitch, in one piece, starting at left center front, then the back, continuing to the long right front with a tapered end. The right front is the section that wraps around. Two sleeves are knit and set in. Minimal finishing is required.

SIZE:
One size fits most
from left center front to end of right front wrap - 110 inches
length from shoulder - 21.5 inches
sleeve length from shoulder - 23 inches (sleeves are cuffed)



YARN USED FOR SAMPLE:
Plymouth Yarns Baby Alpaca Grande
100% baby Alpaca
100 grams—110 yards each skein
12 skeins
 
For your wrap to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important.

It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.



NEEDLES:
Size 10.5 straight needles; or correct size needles to obtain gauge



OTHER NOTIONS:
gauge ruler
tapestry needle
3 buttons - 3/4 inch size



GAUGE:
12 stitches and 19 rows = 4 inches on size 10.5 needles in garter stitch pressed (if yarn allows—never press nylon or nylon blends)



SKILL LEVEL:

  Projects with a variety of stitches, such as basic cables    and lace, simple intarsia, double-pointed needles and   knitting in the round needle techniques, mid-level   shaping and finishing.
