scarf 16 - hedy lamarr

When the scarf is wrapped around your neck the tabs form a very flattering frame for your face. This is an easy to knit scarf with a lot of binding off and casting on.

SIZE:

approximately 10 inches wide (including tabs) x 74 inches long

YARN USED FOR SAMPLE:

Plymouth Yarns; Baby Alpaca dk
100% baby alpaca
50 grams - 125 yards each ball

5 balls
approximately 625 yards are required

For your scarf to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important.

It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.

NEEDLES:

size 6 needles; or size needles to obtain the correct gauge

OTHER NOTIONS:

gauge ruler
tapestry needle

GAUGE:

22 stitches and 30 rows = 4 inches on size 6 needles in stockinette stitch

SKILL LEVEL:

	Projects using basic stitches, repetitive stitch patterns, simple color changes, and simple shaping and finishing.
