After Felting: approximately 9.5" wide x 11.5 high x 4" deep

YARN USED FOR SAMPLE:
Brown Sheep Company - Lamb's Pride Worsted
85% wool - 15% mohair
113 grams - 190 yards each

3 pull skeins - Color A (darker shade)
2 pull skeins - Color B (lighter shade)

This purse can be made with any yarn in the weight specified as long as the correct gauge can be obtained.

It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase

NEEDLES:
Size 11 straight needles or size needles to obtain the correct gauge
One thin (size 6 or smaller straight needle)

OTHER NOTIONS:
gauge ruler
tapestry needle
2 purse handles - desired length
1 yard fabric for lining - optional

GAUGE:
Before Felting: approximately 3.5 stitches and 4.5 rows = 1 inch
After Felting: approximately 5.5 stitches and 7.75 rows = 1 inch

When felting the gauge does not have to be exact, but:
If your gauge is too tight the hat will not felt well
If your gauge is too loose you may run out of yarn
