purse 22 - oleander

This is new spin on an old fashion purse. What can be more appropriate than a knit knitting bag? We pinned a pretty silk flower on the front to use as a purse
This bag is easy to knit. It is rated skill level 4-(experienced), because of a few short rows. The short rows give the rounded look on the lower edge. Three strands of yarn are held together to knit the purse, giving it lots of body. We used 2 solid strands and 1 variegated strand.

For your purse to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important.

It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.

size 8 straight needles; or size needles to obtain the correct gauge

1 pair wooden purse handles—12 inches –(30.5 cm) with 10 inch-(25.4 cm) slit
1 magnetic snap 18mm (for lined purse only)
¾ yards-(.68 meters) fabric lining--optional

2 STRANDS OF MILLEFILI FINE—2 DIFFERENT COLORS
1 STRAND OF WAIKIKI HELD

15 stitches and 22 rows = 4 inches-(10 cm) in stockinette stitch
on size 8 needles
