When you knit seed stitch in a variegated yarn with short runs of color every stitch comes up a different color. It is especially beautiful when the yarn is doubled, the combinations of shades or colors is almost endless.
This good-looking purse is made on a circular needle with a minimum of finishing.

For your purse to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important.

It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.

NEEDLES:

size 8 circular, 24 inches long; or size needle to obtain the correct gauge
size 4 straight needle for knitting tabs

OTHER NOTIONS:

gauge ruler
tapestry needle
1 pair of roped purse handles or handles of your choice
1 set (4 pieces) of purse feet 12mm
1 magnetic snap 18mm (for lined purse only)

15 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches in seed stitch on size 8 needles
