This is a terrific purse for summer in a pretty pastel color. Imagine it in dark tweed for fall or winter. The seed stitch purse is knit in the round and has a crocheted ruffle edge and ties at each side.

11 inches wide x 6 inches high (without ruffle) x 6 inches deep

For your purse to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important.

It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.

NEEDLES:

size 7 circular needle, 24 inches long or size needle to obtain the correct gauge
size J crochet hook

OTHER NOTIONS:

1 pair plastic purse handles
1 set (4 pieces) of purse feet 12mm —gold or silver
1 magnetic snap 18mm (for lined purses only)—gold or silver
½ yard fabric for optional lining

GAUGE:

16 stitches and 16 rows = 4 inches in seed stitch on size 7 needles
