purse 12 - petunia
All knitters have a stash. You might have knit many scarves and have novelty yarns in your stash. Or you might have partial balls of yarns that felt from various felting projects. This purse is a great way to use up some of your stash and have a beautiful purse. Ours was made of stash yarn. There are 16 different colors of Brown Sheep - Lamb's Pride worsted and 16 different novelties. To make this purse from scratch would cost a zillion dollars.
There are different ways of making an equally attractive, less expensive purse. It takes a combination (1 strand of Lamb's Pride worsted and 1 strand of novelty yarn held together) of approximately 25 yards to make a 4-round stripe.
Our customers have made many combinations:
- Sixteen colors of Lamb's Pride worsted and sixteen different novelties - A
- Four colors Lamb's Pride worsted and four novelties in 4 round stripes - B
- One color Lamb's Pride worsted and four novelties - C
- One color Lamb's Pride worsted throughout with as many novelties as desired in 4 round stripes
- Two colors of Lamb's Pride worsted and two novelties 4 round stripes
- One color alternating stripes of Lamb's Pride worsted without novelty and with same novelty throughout
There are an unlimited number of combinations.
This purse requires approximately 3 pull skeins of Lamb's pride worsted when using one color felting yarn or a combination of approximately 570 yards |
