SIZE:
10 inches wide x 7 inches high x 4.5 inches deep

YARN USED FOR SAMPLE:
Cascade Yarns - Pastaza
50% llama - 50% wool
100 grams - 132 yards each skein

4 skeins - Main Color
1 skein - A for bottom of bag and the corner vertical stripes (dark color in the photo)
1 skein - Bfor majority of horizontal and vertical stripes (pink in the photo)
1 skein - Cfor secondary color for horizontal and vertical stripes (ivory in the photo)

For your purse to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important.

It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.

NEEDLES:
size 11 24 inch circular needle
size 11 straight needles for optional felted beads
J crochet hook

OTHER NOTIONS:
gauge ruler
tapestry needle
Heavy-duty sewing thread.—the same color as MC.
Large-eyed sharp needle (e.g., size 18-20 chenille needle)

GAUGE:
3.5 stitches and 4 rows = 1 inch before felting

5 stitches and 7.5 rows = 1 inch after felting (felted gauge is approximate)

When felting the gauge does not have to be exact, but:
If your gauge is too tight the hat will not felt well
If your gauge is too loose you may run out of yarn

SKILL LEVEL:
skill_level_3
Projects with a variety of stitches, such as basic cables    and lace, simple intarsia, double-pointed needles and   knitting in the round needle techniques, mid-level   shaping and finishing.
