TECHNIQUES USED FOR THIS DESIGN

FINISHED SIZE
- Approximately 34 inches-(86.3 cm) wide x 34 inches-(86.3 cm) long before fringe

100% merino wool
1.75 ounces-(50 grams) — 214 yards-(194 m) each

NOTE: AFGHAN IS MADE USING TWO STRANDS OF YARN HELD TOGETHER THROUGHOUT.

Color A       without fringe 5 balls       with fringe 7 balls
Color B       without fringe 4 balls       with fringe 5 balls

For the afghan to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important. It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.

SUGGESTED NEEDLE SIZE
- size 9-(5.50 mm)
- size F-(3.75 mm) crochet hook (to pull fringe through afghan)

NOTIONS
- gauge ruler
- tapestry needle

GAUGE
- 15 stitches and 26 rows = 3.75 inch-(9.5 cm) (1 square) in seed stitch on size 9-(5.50 mm) needles using 2 strands of yarn held together
