This is an adult version of our popular Baby Sampler Afghan (there are five stitch substitutions that are different from the baby afghan). We used luxurious baby alpaca dk—holding two strands of yarn together.
There are thirty different pattern stitches, made in five strips of six patterns each. The strips are crocheted together, following very easy instructions. After completing this afghan you will never fear pattern stitches again.
For an exceptional treasured wedding gift, knit the afghan in ivory and work squares one and twenty-seven stockinette stitch. When the afghan is finished, embroider or have it professionally embroidered using silky white embroidery thread. The couples monogram in square one, the date of their marriage in square twenty-seven. It will become a family heirloom.
